An opportunity to support a deserving student from a marginal farmer’s family.
Roshan Vidyacharan Patil, an 18-year-old student from Waki village in Jamner Taluka, Jalgaon district, Maharashtra, is the son of a marginal farmer. Despite coming from a humble financial background, Roshan has demonstrated exceptional academic potential, scoring around 90% in his Class 10 examinations and securing the 97th percentile in MHT-CET.
His hard work has earned him admission to the first year of the Information Technology (IT) Engineering course at AISSMS College, Pune, a reputed institute that offers him an opportunity to build a promising career.
However, his journey towards becoming an engineer is challenging due to his family’s financial circumstances.
A Family Struggling to Make Ends Meet
Roshan’s father owns just 3.5 acres of non-irrigated agricultural land and earns approximately ₹60,000 annually. He is the family’s sole earning member, while Roshan’s mother works as a farm labourer whenever work is available to supplement the family income. His younger sister is currently studying in Class 10.
Although government schemes have reduced Roshan’s annual college fees to ₹21,507 from the regular fee of approximately ₹1.44 lakh, the family still struggles to meet his educational expenses.
To minimise accommodation and food expenses, Roshan stays at his maternal uncle’s home, which is far from his college. He requires a monthly travel pass costing approximately ₹750, in addition to funds for books, examination fees and other academic expenses.
Our Support Can Make a Difference
The estimated educational expenses for Roshan’s four-year engineering course are approximately ₹1,69,000. He has already managed to arrange ₹21,000 towards his first-year college fees and is seeking support for the remaining expenses.
* Immediate requirement: ₹20,500 * Total support required over the next 3–4 years: Approximately ₹1,47,000 * Additional requirement: A laptop to support his engineering studies, projects and other academic activities.
Roshan is determined to make the most of this opportunity. Based on the campus placement opportunities available at his institute, he hopes to secure a job with a starting salary of approximately ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month after completing his degree.
Your contribution today can help him continue his education, reduce the financial burden on his family and move towards a future where he can support his parents and create better opportunities for his family.
Let us come together to ensure that financial hardship does not become a barrier to a deserving student’s education and dreams.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference. Please come forward to support Roshan and share this appeal with your friends and family.
Together, we can help Roshan turn his hard work and potential into a brighter future.
